Our Story
Capri Pizzeria has been proudly serving Windsor and Essex County for more than 50 years!

In 1972 Mr. Kalaydjian purchased Capri Pizzeria from the existing owners who had been operating in that location for several years.
We take pride in how much Capri has evolved over the years and attribute such growth to our loyal customers.
In 1985 Capri opened its first Franchise in the east end (Forest Glade) to meet the needs of their growing customer base!
In 1987, the original store moved and expanded into the building next door. During these years the family began working at the restaurant after school and on weekends.
1995
In 1995 Bob passed the South Windsor Capri operations to his son and his partner Jim Koumoutsidis. Jim and Kev featured in a Windsor Star article discussing the operations at Capri.
2009
By 2009, the Capri Franchise opened it’s 10th location in Leamington Ontario!
In 2016 a Capri Kiosk opened at St Clair College to to serve their hard working students some slices of our pies.
2017
We are proud of our deep roots in the community and continually humbled by the support we have received over the years. In 2017 the city announced a naming right opportunity for the South Windsor Arena. When Capri was selected, and the South Windsor Arena was renamed the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex we were so honoured. A great day in our history!
Today fifty years later, the third generation of our family is serving Capri’s famous pizzas!
A Capri Tradition! We know that our strong, committed franchisees, and our loyal, and incredibly hardworking team of employees are the foundation of our business.
We can’t thank them enough!
